This project presents a landscape architectural concept developed for the rooftop of the Manisa Liberation Museum. The preliminary design phase, prepared in 2021, establishes the spatial framework, material language, and planting strategy of the rooftop landscape.

Rather than reducing recreation to predefined activities, the project approaches landscape as a living system. A meadow-based ecological structure with trees is proposed to support pollination and non-human life, allowing the space to function even in the absence of users.

The design introduces a core and buffer meadow system integrated with the museum’s domed topography, enabling a gradual interaction between children, users, and ecological processes. Precast concrete and timber elements, along with steel railings and paving systems, are defined as part of the material strategy.

Note: This work represents the landscape preliminary (concept) design phase. Subsequent project phases were developed by other parties.
